1. General Regulation
   • Food or drinks, except water, are not allowed in the Learning Centre
   • Deposit your bags in the locker (keys are available at the circulation counter)
   • Please check your belongings properly before leaving
   • Reference materials and serials cannot be taken out of the Learning Centre
   • Do not highlight or write on any items
   • Keep noise to a minimum
   • Do not take photos or record videos without permission
   • The Learning Centre is open to the public
2. Learning Centre Hours
   • Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
   • Saturday:            8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
3. Registration
   • Present a valid UP ID card (students, staff, faculty members)
   • Present any ID for alumni
   • Registration is free of charge
   • No registration member for the public 
4. Borrowing Learning Centre Items
   • Present a valid UP ID card (students, staff, faculty members)
   • Number of items that can be checked out: 2 books for students and general administrative staff; 5 books for senior staff and faculty members
   • Loan period: 14 days for students and general administrative staff; 30 days for senior staff and faculty members
   • Renewal period: 14 days for students and administrative staff; 30 days for senior staff and faculty members
   • Check-in/out items before 6:45 p.m. (Monday – Friday), 11:45 a.m. (Saturday)
   • Alumni can check out 2 books at once for 7 days
   • Non-UP students/public can check out a book at once for 7 days, yet they are required to fill in the short-term loan form along with a copy of any ID card
5. Fine
   • One day late: 500R for each item (fine fee is up to 40,000R)
   • Over 30 days late: borrowing privileges will be suspended for 90 days
   • Over 30 days late: borrowing privileges will be suspended for 90 days
   • Damage book cover: 4,000R for each
   • Damage call number label: 1,000R for each
   • Damage book barcode label: 1,000R for each
   • Damage book barcode label: 1,000R for each
   • Lost item: must pay for a current replacement cost plus 5,000R for each item
   • Alumni and non-UP students: One day late: 1000R (fine fee is up to 50,000R)

Note: The Learning Centre is closed on UP and public holidays
